Slightly north of the Ibiza Old Town, in an area where few of the main bulk of tourists head, an incredible ritual is taking place.

In a scene comparable to Noah’s Ark, two by two couples take bags filled with food and wine to the end of the Sa Punta pier and wait.

In pairs they bring a picnic to the end of the concrete jetty that sits around 40 metres into bay. In Ibiza’s glorious sun, it seems a natural place to enjoy a brunch, even a glass of wine as the water slaps against the shore. Here, beyond any reasonable recognition is a place without boundaries and a place to escape it all.
