Ibiza's street culture
Well, what can we say…? Ibiza 2011 is shaping up to be the hottest, loudest, coolest, sexiest, most hedonistic season to date – and with a fashion vibe that rivals it, there’s plenty to shout about style-wise.
We hit San Antonio’s sunset strip to soak up the stunning sky and go on search of the super sleek fashionistas gracing the sands this season.
From the style elite to the downright impossibly chic, the Ibicencan pavements were consistently pounded by some of the hottest, most refreshing holiday looks night after night. Listening to the chilled grooves at Mambo, Savannah’s and Café Del Mar, the sunset strip is best place to people spot and take in the inspirational fashion sites – this is people watching at its best!
One look that’s definitely on the style radar is black – wear head to toe and wear it proud. Keep the smouldering hue to after-dark hours to avoid the blistering sun absorbing the heat – repeat, ‘a sweaty sheen is never good’. Team with gold accessories – the more the better for a glam finish.
The maxi dress also scored highly on the Ibiza score sheet, a particular favourite with the more laid back style beauties. Team with flats or gladiators and beaming tan! The free flowing silhouette makes for a particularly perfect piece when enjoying a glass of sun-down cava sangria (the BEST tipple on the island!).
One style essential that seemed to keep cropping up were cut-off levi denim shorts. For nonchalant cool, team with an oversized tee, ray bans and an oversized clutch bag for good measure!
Happy Ibiza street styling!
